Absolute Repti-Vet Snake Mite Gone + (ASMG).

It is a single oral treatment that is the first of its kind for use in private collections. ASMG remains active within the snake's stream and body tissue for 30 days. This is all that is needed to protect your snake.

Snake mites:

Ophionssus natricis (Gervais, 1844) (Mesostigmata, Macronyssidae) are the main species of mites infesting captive reptiles of the order Squamata (scaled reptiles).

High infestations may result in the host snake experiencing general discomfort and deleterious effects or death. Snake mites are a leading cause of reptile vector-borne disease and are the main vector of the Reptarenavirus.

Independent studies have proven that a single oral dose of Absolute Repti-Vet Snake Mite Gone (Afoxolaner 2.5mg) is 100% effective for the eradication of natural snake mite infection without the need to treat the vivarium.

However, we would always encourage you to follow good husbandry practices to maintain healthy animals.  

Directions for administration:

1.           Defrost the intended prey animal

2.          Weigh the snake accurately using scales

3.          Shake the glass vial well (30 seconds)

4.          Draw out the correct amount of snake mite gone from the glass vial using the provided       1.0 cc / 1.0 ml syringe and needle

5.          Inject the drawn solution into the thawed prey animal

6.          Feed the prey animal to the snake

Please note: Cloverleaf Absolute Snake Mite Gone is excreted through the skin. Ensure that water bowls are changed and cleaned daily, and that any faeces are removed. This is to prevent the buildup of the active ingredient 

Dosage:

0.1 cc/ (0.1ml) per 1kg (1000 g)

1.0 cc/ (1.0 ml) per 10 kg (10,000 g)

10.0 cc/ (10 ml) per 100 kg (100,000 g)

For smaller snakes, make up a stock solution.

By adding 0.1cc (0.1ml) of ASMG to 1.90cc (1.90 ml)

of clean water. Shake well – Dose 0.1cc (0.1ml) per 50 g

of snake discard any unused stock solution.

Caution: Do not retreat within 28 days of administering.
